Claude is Anthropic's assistant family, built around long-context document work and careful, well-structured writing. It is widely used for editing, research synthesis and code review.
Strengths
- Long context. Claude handles very large inputs, which makes it practical to drop in a whole specification or a stack of reports and ask for a synthesis.
- Writing quality. Prose tends to be measured and readable, with fewer filler phrases than many competitors.
- Code understanding. Strong at reading an existing codebase and explaining what a function does before changing it.
- Artifacts and projects. Generated documents, diagrams and small apps render in a side panel and can be iterated on in place.
Limitations
Claude is deliberately conservative on some requests and will decline tasks it judges risky. Real-time information depends on web search being enabled, and availability of the newest models varies by plan and region.
Best for
Teams that live in documents: legal and policy review, editorial work, technical writing and research-heavy analysis.
